I remember the time, when I used to pay attention to the things Allah gave me except the part of creating me.
What I know of is that Allah actually gives gifts to everyone but what I've observed is that people admire gifts given to others that they don't have. Some want the gift of being artists ot having a good voice or being good at dancing.
What we often forget is that with great gifts comes huge responsibilities.
These gifts can't always be a blessing for you even when they were given as a form of blessing.
Such as, an artist makes art and thinks of himself as someone superior ignoring the fact that the art, he is copying on his canvas isn't his. He is actually copying the art of another artist. The greatest of all artists.
And then he copies the faces of people. We call them sketches. without realising that he might be asked to give soul to them.
But all he sees is a face -
A face with no meaning.
What is a face? Anyway? What is a face other than your identification.
Isn't it all about the hearts and souls?
Such as, having a good face that people chase, or the eyes that people stare or anything as such that can include the involvement of people.
Often we fail to admire these gifts because of how we use them.
That face looks in the mirror to feel proud of how he looks,
forgetting the one who gave it to him.
or those eyes look in the mirror and stare at the image to feel proud of how they look.
forgetting the one who gave it to him.
And what are these things anyway?
Isn't all this just an identification?
Isn't it all about hearts and souls?
Such as, a person with good voice,
Not realising that they might die tomorrow while uploading that song which they thought will be in billboard Top 100 songs and what in there graves might be waiting for them.
Why people often fail to realise this?
Because we are too busy playing the music?
I always wanted to have a good voice but I never prayed to have it for some good reason. Such as to shower my love over prophet Muhammad saw or to recite the holy Quran.
Maybe, I wanted to be the next female version of arijit singh. XD
With keeping all the things in mind, all the consequences and all the possible gifts a person can have.
It took me a lot of years to realise what the greatest gift any person can possibly get is.
And to me, having the gift of iman, worshipping Allah since the day you're born is the greatest gift.
A convert or a Muslim who came back to Islam, they were also given these gifts but not like the one born with it.
The difference is in how you receive it.
Either you receive it from Allah himself or he gives it to you through a person.
A convert/Muslim who came back to Islam lived two lives in this very dunya.
One where he did what the world does and another, where he does what Allah said to do but a person born with such iman never experienced these phases.
after so many desires and wanting to try things, wanting to live two lives in one dunya but he doesn't.
And his iman stays firm till he dies
What possibly can be the greatest gift than this?
